Get
organized in under a minute!
Are you always making plans and not
following through? Not enough time to do everything? Is this why you made no
resolutions because you usually struggle to follow
them? Well, today is a great day to get organized; let’s get started the old
fashioned “diary way”.
As a teen my dad would give me a diary every year; that
was his way of teaching me time management, (I guess). I too have trouble with
resolutions, there is just no way to stay updated with it all; so I do it the
old fashioned diary way, it’s easy and now with e-mails, smart phones and apps to keep
you organized, it’s even easier.
There is just no way to stay updated
with all the daily tasks but by scheduling you're guaranteed to improve your
performance, I suggest you make the most of your e-mail account and smart phone by using the
calendar feature or get a Task Management App.
It’s easy to get and stay organized,
just make a list of the tasks to be done (maybe include “things I would like to
do” and “interests to pursue“) and set the date and time, I usually put in the
reminders. Sometimes I do this for events months into the future and if it’s a
recurring event like a birthday I set that too so I never forget. I usually
check my list several times daily even though there is a reminder feature which
pings. If for any reason I miss a task or there isn’t enough time to complete
it, I do what I can on it then I shift it to another time and date. That way it
is broken into manageable parts and I have started, that’s the hardest part,
starting! Subscribe to our list Also, I am onto my next
task to keep me on schedule.
I find it a good idea to write
things down where I can see it, on paper (well screen), it makes the objective
(more like resolutions) resolute. For each time you
complete a task, (a real hurdle) why not celebrate and treat yourself? Before
you know it you will start beating your own reminders, good luck.
